As a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization, all of the funds we take in, goes back to the children we strive so hard to serve. All work is done on a voluntary basis and no one receives compensation for their time.

With the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, things have become much more difficult, and we as an organization have had to modify the ways we have always done things; whether it means Live Streaming games for our fans with local city ordinances barring spectators from attending events live, or organizing safe alternative events outside of the norm in efforts to keep our kids active. Unfortunately, these alternatives come at an increased cost, that we avoid turning back on families.

Calling all seniors!

Wilshire Scholarship

Wilshire is accepting applications for our scholarships. We are giving away two(2) $500 scholarships to be awarded to one female and one male Wilshire athlete. Please write an essay detailing how Wilshire has affected your life. Deadline is February 28, 2025.

1. The Wilshire Athletic Association will award two (2) scholarships annually to one (1) male and one (1) female. The Board will determine the amount of the scholarships for that given year. They will be awarded at one of the end of season banquets. This money is to be used for post educational purposes.

2. Applicants will be required to apply for the scholarship in writing to the Wilshire Athletic Association email: wilshireaa1@gmail.com or P.O. Box 80004, Springfield, MA 01138-0004, by February 28th of each year. Please tell us how Wilshire has affected your life.

3. Applicants must have played at least three (3) seasons in baseball, softball, soccer, flag football and/or basketball for the Wilshire Athletic Association.

4. The Wilshire Athletic Association Board of Directors will select the recipients from the pool of qualified applicants. Recipients must submit a letter of acceptance before the appropriate banquet. The recipient or a representative must be present at the banquet to receive the scholarship.

5. Applicants may apply annually; however, the scholarship may be received only once.

6. All scholarship money is raised from sources other than our registration fees.

7. The Board of Directors has the discretion to deviate from the criteria to accommodate the applicants for the given year. (i.e., may award scholarships to both female if no male applicants, etc.)

Spring Sports Sign Ups

We will be starting online signups for spring sports on 1/15/2025 and it will remain open until 2/28/2025. This is for Soccer and Baseball. You can signup online at https://reg.sportspilot.com/106405/leagues

Our in-person signups for Spring Sports (Soccer and Baseball) will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 1597 Allen St, Springfield, on the following dates.

Friday, January 24, 2025, from 6 PM - 8 PM
Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10 AM - 12 PM
Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6 PM - 8 PM
Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10 AM - 12 PM

Tickets are now on sale for our Fall soccer banquet happening Sunday December 1 from 1:00 - 3:00. Coaches and players are free (although they must be accounted for in our count). Parents and friends can purchase tickets at the following link. Pasta lunch will be provided. All instructional teams as well as competitive teams who finished 1st or 2nd will receive trophies.

Ticket sales will end 1 week before event so we can give the caterer a count. No Exceptions.

We are in desperate need of another Biddy Basketball coach (Grades Pre K to 1). If you are interested please let us know. We also understand that registrations are closed, but If you have a 5-7 year old child and they are not signed up, we will make space for them if you are willing to coach a team.
